Certain batches of Digitek® (Digoxin) have been found to include twice the amount of the active ingredient after tablets were sold with twice the normal thickness as the recommended size.

Taking these enlarged tablets can cause levels of calcium to rise to twice the normal level. The increased levels of calcium can cause increased heart beat irregularities and renal failure, ultimately leading to death.

Symptoms of Digitek® toxicity includes nausea, vomiting, blurry vision, dizziness and low blood pressure.
