Vioxx Side Effects
Adverse side effects related to Vioxx include, blood clots, heart attacks and stroke.
Symptoms of a heart attack may include:
- Uncomfortable pressure, squeezing or pain in the center of the chest lasting more than a few minutes.
- Pain spreading to the shoulders, neck or arms. Pain may be mild to intense, like pressure, tightness, burning, or heavy weight. It may be located in the chest, upper abdomen, neck, jaw, or inside the arms or shoulders.
- Chest discomfort with lightheadedness, fainting, sweating, nausea or shortness of breath.
- Anxiety, nervousness and/or cold, sweaty skin.
- Paleness or pallor.
- Increased or irregular heart rate.
Symptoms of a stroke may include:
- sudden weakness or numbness of the face, arm, or leg, especially on one side of the body
- sudden confusion or difficulty speaking or understanding
- sudden problems with vision such as dimness or loss of vision in one or both eyes
- dizziness or problems with balance or coordination
- problems with movement or walking
- sudden, severe headaches with no other recognizable cause
